Welcome to the May 6th edition of the Valencic Family Newsletter.

(2000!)

from the archives...

Hello again.  We're still alive here in Kentucky.  Busy, tired, but alive.

We were hit by the fun "ILOVEYOU" virus before we had gotten any warnings.  So, we've had to reformat, redownload, reconfigure everything on our computer.  It's been interesting.  And kind of hectic if you consider the time we spend online with the various things we are involved in.  (including Parenthoodweb)  But I believe we are back to normal now.

Emilie is doing well.  She has gained almost a pound, sleeps for about 6-7 hours at night, and eats well.  The boys love her.  Her hair is definitely looking more and more RED as the days go by.  Michael is so proud of the fact that she has the same color hair that he does.  She loves her brothers and loves to watch them.  Michael will sit and talk to her for a half hour sometimes, showing her things and telling her what is happening in his life.  Benjamin still just gives her sloppy kisses on the forehead.  He has ventured to poke her eyes, ears, nose, belly, feet, etc, but we are close at hand to let him know how to act around her.  (and prevent harm).  Emilie is a wonderful addition to the family.

Benjamin is as energetic as ever.  Never wants to stop, even tho he still needs a daily nap to make it thru bedtime without major catastrophe.  He loves Michael, and Emilie, but is big enough now that he is pulling some of Michael's tricks on Michael, and Michael does not like it at all.  He is learning to say some things, but usually Michael talks for him.  His newest word is "baby".

Michael's newest thing is everything.  If you find him peering at your eyes and asking you about your eyeballs, he is probably just checking out your eye color.  He also wants to see if your knees bend...  He is also interested in babies, hair color, books, Tarzan, Toy Story, Buzz Lightyear, spelling, "reading" (he can recognize about 10 words) (including Wal-mart).  He too has nonstop energy which keeps Mom busy.

Tom is also busy.  The store is under a new manager (again) so he is working the extra hours that are necessary during such a big change.  Also, it is spring here in Ohio/Kentucky and he is still over the garden center and everything seasonal... need I say more?  (his area will change soon tho)  We also have a newborn... so sleep is hard to come by (even tho she IS a good sleeper).

Tabitha is busy chasing two toddlers and keeping a newborn happy.  (or somewhat happy)  It seems I will be getting a new calling soon.  Plus changes in Parenthoodweb coming up means more time online... hopefully we all will be ready.  Things are looking up, tho, as I feel better and better.

Looks like lots of family will be here the beginning of June, when we are planning on blessing Emilie.  Hopefully everything works out that way.  My parents, a few brothers and my grandma are coming for a week.  Tom's parents will be here too.

Oh, and as soon as we can get pictures rescanned, (the virus especially hit jpeg files), we will get additional pictures of Emilie up.

Well, I guess that is about it for now.  If you really want to know more, or if you have any other questions, feel free to email us.

We love you all!

Tom, Tabitha, Michael, Benjamin, and Emilie
