Hello again. Yes, it has been a while. We're still alive here in Kentucky. Busy, tired, but alive.
The best (sarcastically put) part of this last month was that we were entirely without a computer. There were some glitches (unrelated to the virus) that needed to be fixed at the repair center, and we were promised that we would have our computer back in 7 days. 34 days later, we got our computer back. There are no problems now, but there were not a few days that we wondered if it would be worth it. Tom and I had both been going through computer withdrawal. Michael even noticed that we did not have a computer. (he is getting good at using the computer).
Emilie is doing well. She weighs nearly 12 lbs, sleeps for about 8-9 hours at night, and still eats well, tho less often now that her little tummy holds more. The boys still love her. Her newest trick is spastically hitting things with her hands. Our favorite thing to watch is when her face lights up, she smiles, giggles, and squirms, if she sees Mom or Dad. She will also smile at Michael, and look amused at Benjamin... but wary, too. Benjamin loves her to death, and if not watched carefully, may bring that about. He is very enthusiastic about showing her affection... or about something just beyond her that he needs to step past her to get at. Michael talks to and about Emilie for hours. Emilie loves to listen. We all have heard, about a hundred times, that Emilie is growing but she's not big yet. "She will eat her food and grow big." "I'm big, but Emilie is not yet." Tom enjoys her company in those times when he is home from work. And, Mom has her the rest of the time. S he is the only one who knows that Emilie is not always the perfect little smiling angel. But we love her, and are very happy to have her in our family.
Benjamin is as energetic as ever. Just today I let him and Michael play in the rain for a little while. They ran and played, and all Benjamin could say was Rain Rain Rain Rain Rain Rain Rain!!! Mah Mah Mah Mah, Rain Rain Rain! Bah!. Which, translated, means that it was raining, and "Mah"-chael and "Bah"-njamin were out in it. And it was fun, to hear him say it. His other words are "yeah" and "no", "da" and "wight" (light), "nigh-nigh", "bebe", "nap" (um never said happily) "ball" "truck" or something like it..., "up" "dow"(n). And many other sounds. He tries to say oatmeal, yogurt, treat, and cracker. All in all he is a lot of fun to have around. He enjoyed having Uncle Jason here, as well as everyone who came with him.
Michael's thrill right now is counting down the days until we fly on an airplane to "grandma and grandpa's house". He is very excited. He is talking all of the time... about anything and everything. He loves Primary, his teacher, (to the extent that he does not want to leave her or to leave Primary) You would have never guessed that he used to scream at the thought of going to Primary. He sings a lot, too. His current favorites are "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." The most interesting things that he has said lately are that "rain comes from the sky, not the clouds, mom." (we talked about that) Another thing he said was that Emilie can't talk yet, but Ben is learning to talk.
Tom is very busy with work and his calling at church. He has a new area at work, which seems to be working out really well. Other than that, same old thing. Management is kept busy at a retail store, and Wal-Mart is the busiest retailer of them all. We have no idea if or when he will be transferred, but he has worked for the company for over a year and does have the option of applying to different stores now. He still enjoys his job. On his days off or even in his spare time he is kept busy by his family and his meetings plus phone calls.
Tabitha is still busy chasing two toddlers and keeping a baby happy. (or somewhat happy) I have a new calling at church, writing the montnly Relief Society bulletin. That takes some time. I have appreciated all the help and gifts for the baby these last few months, and am working on thanking people properly for their thoughtfulness. We are all very excited about our upcoming trip to California, and hope to see our friends and familyi that live there.
We had a blast when my family and Tom's familiy were here in June. It was SOOOOO great to see everyone.
