The June 14th, 2004 version.
Hi! I know it's been a while since we've updated, and I'm sorry
about that. We get kind of busy and I don't spend as much time
doing all the extras on the computer. (and this gets time
consuming if I try and do it right).
Two big pieces of news- Tom got a new calling, and we have a new little
Valencic on the way, due sometime in late January. (so far the
due date is January 25th, 2005). With our insurance... the
closest doctor that delivers at a close enough doctor is still 27 miles
away... email for more details hehe. We ARE due around Groundhog
day... Baby's website is HERE.
First doctor appointment is this Wednesday.
Tom's been called to be the 2nd counselor in the Branch presidency
(busy busy busy!) So, while he was finding out about his new
calling I was getting practice at getting the kids out the door on time
and to church... hey, we were on time! I am the secretary in the
Relief Society, if you didn't know. However, we can tell that
this is going to be a major time consuming responsibility for Tom, on
top of choir practice and even just normal family life.
Michael is still 7, very into Harry Potter and Star Wars as well, and
reading Harry Potter with Mom and Dad. He can't wait to see the
3rd movie, which we aren't sure when he'll see it... but for sure not
until we finish reading the book. He will probably be baptized
the first week of December this year. He loves Primary, reads so
much, and loves playing just about anything. Michael is loving
learning about money and math.
Benjamin is still 5 years old, and his list of sight words is growing
daily. He is learning in leaps and bounds, about sounds and
numbers. He wants to be able to read on his own but it hasn't
come easy. He loves playing with anything Michael is, taking care
of his baby brother, and playing with Emilie, too, sometimes.
They all love Legos. He is also growing taller at a very quick
pace. Recently he's started playing 1st grade computer games as
well as Kindergarten level.
Emilie is now 4 years old, and busy as her brothers. She loves
the computer as well, and loves watching the boys or playing herself,
she is not as big on Legos, Star Wars, or Harry Potter. She loves
dress up, reading, or playing with her princess dolls.
She can also be found dancing, singing, or reading to her dolls.
She also likes to help Mom with anything she is working on.
She isn't too keen on sharing a room with Nathanael, but is getting
better.
Nathanael is walking all over the place, but not talking too
much. He has a funny habit of moving his legs one at a time, and
gets overexcited. He has blonde curly hair, and grey/blue/green
eyes. (we think...) He has 12 teeth, poor guy, and his
favorite food (lately) is cheese. We don't know what he thinks of
having a younger sibling yet, or what he thinks about anything at
all. He will be in Nursery in a little over 3 months.
Please come visit us! We are about 3 hours from just about
anywhere. Call, write, or email. HUGS!
Tabitha, Tom, and family
