April 17th, 2006 edition
Not a great deal new around here. The Texas temperatures are soaring already, and the kids are getting used to wearing shorts. We are preparing to put in a garden. We are also getting ready to move (again) but not until late summer/early fall, when we may finally buy a house of our own. It's tricky, trying to plan so it's not too late in my pregnancy and not so early that we are paying both rent and a mortgage. Kind of exciting but nervous as well.
I will update the new pictures site soon, probably in the next few days. Lots of pics to upload and organize and then make into a better looking page than now.
We've had two birthdays since our last newsletter, Nathanael turned 3 and Emilie turned 6. We have gotten their pictures taken accordingly, and their sites are updated. Please check them out! They are growing so fast. Tom will be having a birthday this week. Not sure what we are going to do.
We have cancelled our trip to Illinois in May, we are very sorry to do so. We wanted to see family again.
Tom and I are about the same as last month, hehe, if you want a reminder, check last month's newsletter. Tom will be traveling to Memphis later this month for work, but it's only a one night thing. He has some other trips coming up later in the year as well. Tabitha is feeling pregnant, and excited for all the others she knows in the same condition. We have 6 women at church expecting and due within 3 months of each other. How fun!
Michael is working hard at finishing up his 3rd grade school year. He currently is working on decimals, multiplication of 3 numbers or larger numbers, and book reports. He loves Legos, drawing, crafts, scouts, and all the other stuff he has loved in the past. His site is here, but it probably won't be updated until he turns 10 later this year. He is working on earning the Texas badge for Cub Scouts as well as his Bear and arrow points. He is glad that Dad will probably go to a few days of Cub Scout Day camp this year.
Benjamin is 7 and a half and REALLY excited about being baptized in October as well as starting Cub Scouts and going every Wednesday night with Michael. He is finishing up 1st grade and is starting to read really well. He can sound out just about anything (though I confused him today quoting Dory from "Finding Nemo" about how to pronounce E-S-C-A-P-E) He had a good laugh about it. He loves playing outside, building things, taking care of Samuel, making up jokes, and just being busy. His page is here, also to be updated when his birthday comes around.
Emilie just turned 6 last week and is so excited about her dance recital next month. She has been practicing hard so she can do a really good job with the rest of her class. She is one of the tallest girls in her class (this is MY daughter???) and gets to be the first to finish... I guess you'd have to see it. Her costume should come in the week before her recital and we'll be sure to post pictures. She is also thrilled to start the older girls' class (6-7 year olds) with the same teacher when summer comes. She loves her dolls, princesses, dressing up, looking pretty, fixing her hair, playing outside and getting dirty, My Little Pony and all that other girly girl stuff she loved in the last newsletter lol. Her page is here, just updated today.
Nathanael is a busy little 3 year old, loves Nursery, snacks, not Sacrament meeting so much, or sitting still. He loves playing outside, Blue's Clues, playing with Samuel, building, climbing, jumping, running, talking, coloring, drawing, home"cooling", and being with his big brothers. He is not so hot on Samuel taking what he wants to play with, eating when he doesn't want to, sitting still, or being quiet. He does love it being his turn to pray, family home evening, and watching his favorite shows.
Samuel is also getting very busy. He hates naptime and bedtime or being away from Mom, but loves almost everything else. One of his newest loves is chocolate milk. He is a good eater, but is starting to let us know when there's something he'd prefer not to have by shaking his head "no". He still doesn't say much, and also doesn't want to sign, but he can say "mil" (milk), "Mom", "Dad", ball, and knows many other words if you ask him to do something or find something. He also loves anything Nathanael has, wants, or is watching. His site is here, and will be updated in the next few days. Promise!
Baby 7 is not really making him/herself known yet, other than the obvious of making Mom kind of sick and tired. Though that probably could be blamed on her other children (just kidding). Our next appt is May 4th. The site will be updated whenever we have news. We did have an ultrasound on the 6th of April, but you really can't see a whole lot other than there is a bean shaped baby in there. We will keep you posted! November is seeming like a very long way away to both the older children and Mom.
Come and visit any time, call, write, email, we're always around here somewhere.
Love and hugs to family and friends!
Love,
Tabitha, Tom, and family
Michael, Benjamin, Emilie, Nathanael, Samuel, and baby someone
plus Joseph in heaven!
