April 10th, 2008 edition
Hi! It's only been a month! since our last update. I still need to update our "new pictures" site.
It's spring here in Texas, and baby 8 is here!
Christopher Philip Valencic was born March 27th at 3:38 pm, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz and measuring 19 3/4 inches. Here's his pregnancy page updated with birth story, and here is his personal page with pictures! Everyone is happy that he is here, and as you can see, everyone loves him very much. We'll keep him.
Timothy is growing too quickly and is way too tall and too smart. He is 17 months old today, so he's one month away from officially being in Nursery class at church. He bypassed the buttoned lid of the garbage can and just takes the lid off to throw stuff away. He finds stuff to stand on so he can get onto the couch and climb onto the back so he can open the blinds in the living room or look in the mirror. He can find legos or pencils anywhere in the house. He loves his baby brother but is just glad Mom is back home. He doesn't talk much yet but knows some body parts and likes to pretend. Here's his page.
Samuel is thrilled to be 3, not ready to be 4, and just enjoying every day. He loves Blue's Clues, Star Wars, Legos, and Cars. He pretends to be all the characters in Star Wars, but his favorite is still Darth Maul. He wants to have a light saber. He likes to play outside and loves to build. He still likes Nursery, hates being sick, has learned how to throw tantrums, and loves his baby brother. He is learning how to draw and more letters and numbers all the time. He is good at puzzles and building with anything. His page is here. Hmm. He just now stuck a lego up his nose. Ah, the joys of having boys.
Nathanael is now 5 years old and says he's almost one of the big kids. He is good at tormenting Samuel and Timothy, and loves holding Christopher. He likes doing things all by himself. He tries to be a good helper. He loves to draw, loves Star Wars, computer games, Play Station Star Wars Lego game, Legos, birthday presents, and more drawing. He is glad Christopher was born close to his birthday, but really wanted him to come ON his birthday. He is anxiously awaiting getting his pictures taken with the number 5. His page is here, soon to be updated.
Emilie will be 8 years old tomorrow. She is a big helper but forgets what she is supposed to be doing often. She loves Christopher and helping with him. She also tries to help with Timothy. Her help with Samuel and Nathanael usually makes whichever brother she is helping scream... She loves everyone, loves to read, loves to dance, sing, talk, play, run, jump, etc. She is constantly in motion and constantly making sounds or music. We like her... sometimes we remind her that quiet is good too... She is excited to be baptized and she wants everyone to be there if they can. She would also love everyone to be here for her birthday, but with the new baby we're just having a quiet family party. Her page, also soon to be updated, is here. We are planning her baptism for the same weekend as Christopher's blessing, May 3rd and 4th...
Benjamin is 9 years old and a huge help almost every day. He has a ton of energy and can't seem to sit still, but loves to be with the family and be involved with everything going on. He loves Cub Scouts and Star Wars and being outside when the weather is good. He loves playing games and reading books. His favorites lately are E. B. White's books. He loves helping with Samuel, Timothy and Christopher and will be a great babysitter when he gets a bit older. His page is here.
Michael is 11 years old and looking forward to turning 12 this November. He is also a big help, and can usually be counted on to do what's asked immediately. (the other one you can count on for that is Samuel!) He loves to read, draw, anything Star Wars, Legos, Magnetix, Boy Scouts... he has earned his Scout badge and several merit badges. He is nervous about any swimming requirements for his Eagle, but has already set his goals high and wants to get things done. He loves his Math program and loves to see how his writing has improved over his years of homeschooling. None of us can believe that he will be missionary age before Christopher is baptized. His page is here.
Tabitha is happy not to be pregnant anymore and now just busy feeding baby and doing everything else as there is time. Homeschooling is slowly getting back into gear and life will be back to a new 'normal' soon enough, no need to rush anything.
Tom is working hard, has 3 callings in church, and looking for a small second car. Or a 12-15 passenger van. We're not picky. We don't fit the minivan! I think we're both happy that Christopher has slept for 6 hours in a row the last two nights. We like our rest when we can get it! Samuel sleepwalking wasn't helpful...
Please call, write, email, and/or visit anytime...
Let us know when you are coming to visit! (blessing and baptism will be May 3rd and 4th!)
Love, Tabitha, Tom, Michael, Benjamin, Emilie, (Joseph), Nathanael, Samuel, Timothy, and Christopher
